Okey-doke, so I screencapped the movie, and I've been sorting through the caps. Tonight, I get to the one that includes the newspaper (well, tabloid) article on Tony. Like a nut, I dragged it into Photoshop and strained my eyes to transcribe it. 8D

I couldn't get ALL of it, but if you'd like to give transcribing the words I couldn't get a shot, the screencap is here, in extra-large, bad-ish blown up quality.

I totally wish I could read the rest of the article that's not on that page, ahaha.

Transcription is under here because of spoilers for the movie!Collapse )

Just curious what you guys think about this- it's something I posted in my journal, but I figured it should go here as well, as maybe a bit of discussion fuel.

So, my question is- is Tony tragic, or is he just a jerk? I'm for the tragic option, and my reasoning is behind the cut because it contains spoilers.

What do you guys think? Agree? Disagree? Think I've been doing too much film study homework and should just go away? 8D

Just a reminder that the US DVD/Blu-Ray release of 'Parnassus' is today!

It can be ordered on Amazon here.

I have a quick question about Tony and a line he says, but I'm going to put it under a cut since it might be a bit spoiler-y to anyone who hasn't seen the film.

I got my DVD this week, so I've done some screencaps of Heath from his wardrobe test and on the movie set, just in case anyone hasn't seen these already. :)

Terry Gilliam's latest film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, is fast approaching its DVD and Blu-ray release - but just to get you through the final bump before that, here's a sneak peek at some of the special features that take you behind the film.

First up, appropriately enough, is Terry Gilliam's introduction to the film
, explaining what he set out to do, how he did it even through difficult and tragic circumstances, and what he thinks of the finished movie. Then we've got the first ten minutes of the film with Terry Gilliam's amiable and detailed commentary, so you can get a taste of what you're in for with the full-length DVD.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus comes out on DVD and Blu-ray on March 29.
